If you are not interested in anything else than adding a few effects to your photos or making a few corrections, the huge number of options that advanced image editors provide can only slow you down. PaintSupreme provides a similar functionality, but you will not have any difficulties finding the necessary options to apply and adjust filters or to remove unwanted elements from your picture. Besides loading and editing existing pictures, you can also create your own drawings from scratch. Furthermore, the software supports both pixel and vector graphics, so you can use it for numerous purposes.

Unlike advanced editors, PaintSupreme can be installed in a few moments. It is also available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The system requirements are modest, so you don’t need cutting edge hardware to run this application.

As previously mentioned, you can decide to load your existing pictures and modify them or you may create a new project, define the size of your canvas and start drawing your own images. PaintSupreme allows you to create additional tabs on its interface, so you can work on multiple projects at the same time. The possibility of creating tabs is also useful if you want to extract a specific element from one picture and place it on another one.

When it comes to extracting, removing or modifying certain elements from your pictures, the software places a wide variety of tools and features at your disposal. If you are not a stranger to editing images, most of the available tools will seem familiar. You can find a paint brush, an eraser, a paint bucket and other drawing tools on the left edge of the interface. The software provides advanced tools as well. You can use a series of selection tools, a magic wand, a clone stamp, a red eye removal tool and more. The best part is that PaintSupreme allows you to work on separate layers. You may create new layers on the right side of the interface, with a single click. This gives you the possibility of modifying a certain item, without affecting the rest of the picture.

It is also possible to apply one or more filters to your images. Besides basic filters, for embossing, blurring and so on, you can find special effects filters, which can make your image look like an old photo, give it a pixel art look and more. You can select and adjust a special effects filter on a separate window or you can select it faster from a drop menu, located on the right side of the interface.

Pros

The software gives you access to various tools, for advanced editing tasks. You can work on separate layers and export them individually. A wide range of filters are available as well and you can download new ones from the Internet.

Cons

The Save function is not available while using the trial version. PaintSupreme allows you to perform advanced editing tasks on your images, while using nothing but easy to understand tools.
